With over 45 years of continuous operation, Rocky Mountain Outfitter is one of the oldest, best known and most respected big game guided hunting and Outfitting Businesses in British Columbia. The Rocky Mountain Guide Outfitting area is situated about 100 miles north-east of Prince George in north eastern British Columbia, on both sides and over the Continental divide. It is one of the best Trophy areas of the Northern British Columbia Rocky Mountains. Guided big game hunting went on in this area for nearly 40 years prior to Rocky Mountain Outfitter (Karl Prinz) purchased the exclusive rights from the previous Outfitter. Outfitting and Guiding big game hunting parties in British Columbia is a tightly Government regulated Business. The Landmass of British Columbia has been divided by the Government into some 220 Guide Outfitting Areas in which only one Outfitter and only by him employed Assistant Guides are allowed to Guide Resident and non Resident Hunters. Our Rocky Mountain Guiding area boosts superb chances to hunt Big Moose, Grizzly Bear, Black Bear , Rocky Mountain Goat, Caribou, Elk, Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, Whitetail Deer, Timber Wolf, Wolverine, Cougar, Upland Game Birds, Ducks and Geese as well as fine fishing for varius Trout species. The Ponderosa Guide Outfitting area is situated southwest of 100 mile House in central British Columbia on the Fraser Plateau. This area is our Guiding ground for California Bighorn Sheep and Mule Deer. In the winter, Cougar, Lynx and Bobcat. Upland Game Birds, Ducks and Geese as well as fine fishing for varius Trout species. The Ponderosa Area is Ranching Country and not nearly as remote or wild and suitable even for those Hunters / Huntresses who prefer a more relaxed hunting experience. Our promise.
